Intro to woodworking (making boxes) 1/16

Tuesday, January, 16 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Instructor: Alexandra I

We have been teaching a basic woodworking class for a while now. In the New Year, we thought it was time to teach something more advanced: joinery. We will be making boxes, as simple or as complex as you want them to be.

Students in this class will learn how to use our shop tools to join pieces of wood together in ever more difficult yet beautiful ways, starting with the very simple Miter Joint. Every student will take home a box they've created in class, complete with a lid and handles (as needed). In addition to joinery, students will learn about different types of wood and finishes, and decorative options.

Some experience in the wood shop prefered, but not needed.

Seats are limited to 4, due to our limited time slot of 3 hours.

* includes a selection of softwoods and hardwoods from our shop store.

Please send and email to if you are still interested in taking the class. We'll let you now when we schedule another session.
