Tinkering Camp is on a Roll

  We've been cookiing up this idea since last summer.  We have so many members here at the shop who have all these awesome skills, but no real chance to share their skills with the younger generation! Happy 2018!

2017 was a real roller-coaster for the shop, with a sudden change in ownership, a scramble to keep the big love going, and the change to not-for-profit status. In 2018 we hope to grow steadily in members and member services, by adding lots more classes, a Tinker school during the summer, new membership options, more collaborations with local institutions, like the Pend Oreille school district and POAC, and just get more involved in the Sandpoint community. MakerPoint 2.0 is one month old!

  About a month ago MakerPoint Studios switched hands, from Mike and Matt to a team of members who were unwilling to let the shop close. We worked closely with Mike and Matt to learn everything they could teach us, and then we tried our own hand at running this amazing place. It's been a month.
