Digital Signatures vs. Electronic Signatures
Wait … aren’t they the same thing? Not exactly. Digital signatures are a subset of electronic signatures that uses PKI technology to make them high assurance signatures that, when properly implemented, have a higher level of trust.

Identity Verification
The TSP verifies the identity of the employee and the organization.
Certificate Issuance
The TSP issues them a digital certificate – the certificate contains their verified information.
Digital Signature
The employee uses a compatible application to generate signatures/seals using the digital certificate.
Signed Documents
The digitally signed/sealed documents will contain the organization and employee’s verified identity, the signing date & time, and it will be tamper evident.
