2016 Sandpoint Arts and Crafts Fair

We're excited to be a part of the 44th Annual Sandpoint Arts & Crafts fair this weekend at City Beach here in Sandpoint.

From the POAC website:

This two-day event occurs during one of the busiest weekends of the year in Sandpoint, concurrent with the Festival at Sandpoint, an evening concert series. Last year’s fair saw an attendance of over 5,000 people. The Arts & Crafts Fair takes place during the day, on the lawn at City Beach in downtown Sandpoint. Elements of the fair include artist booths, food vendors, live entertainment, and a youth art arena. Artwork exhibited includes sculpture, AC Fair Booth shotceramics, metal, fiber, photography, paintings, mixed media, wood, crafts, and more. All proceeds go directly to support POAC’s programs in visual and performing arts and art education for the benefit of our community.

Be sure to come and see us at booth #1!

Last year was a HUGE success for us, and this year we're even more excited as we have 3 members with their own booths!  Here is some information about those members and what you can expect!

Alex has been one of our members for quite some time.  She's a jack of all trades when it comes to the woodshop, but above all, she's an incredible artist. She has a long lasting love affair with drawing, that took her to art school on two continents. In the process, she has learned to do almost everything, be it fine art of craft. After she finished her MFA, she decided to build a tiny house, all hand-made from the axles up. With that came learning about cabinetry and custom made wood and metal work.

You can find her and her work at booth #57 this weekend.

Staci is one of our original members. Her art is a collaboration of nature and culture, a meeting point between urban-luxe and funky country. Staci was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City and came to age in the grunge-gloss decade that defined her generation. Like her personality, her art is both classic and current, a combination of fast paced sleek meets rural chic.

She is hosting her work at booth #109

Brian is the owner of Old Tree. There you can find a collection of home and kitchen products. Each item is handcrafted here in Sandpoint. From wooden pizza cutters, to steel & walnut bar stools, they supply a range of products for your home and, or business. We like to think of each item as "Practical Decor". They will not only improve the aesthetic appeal of your home, but they each serve a useful purpose too.
